Because he tailors the breast lift procedure to each patient, the specific details may vary from patient to patient. However, Dr. Bieniewicz typically begins breast lift surgery by creating an incision around the nipple and along the front of the breast. He may also make another incision along the crease of the breast.
After making the necessary incisions, Dr. Bieniewicz sculpts the breast, reshaping its tissue and relocating the nipple to a more youthful-looking position. If the patient desires a larger cup size or a rounder breast, a breast implant may be inserted. Once he has produced the desired breast shape, Dr. Bieniewicz closes the incisions and bandages the area.
After breast lift surgery, a patient's breasts may be sore, swollen, and bruised. Pain medication is provided by Dr. Bieniewicz to alleviate discomfort, and the patient is fitted with a surgical bra to wear while her breasts heal. Although patients are typically able to return to work within two weeks, they should take care to avoid contact with their breasts, as unnecessary movement may hinder the healing process.
